I am a clinical neuropsychologist and clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of individuals with problems in living (e.g., problems with domestic partner or spousal relationships; career and work-related issues including career and executive coaching, and conflict with immediate family, in-laws, and extended relatives) and central nervous system disorders that affect cognitive, emotional, social, and occupational functioning including depression, anxiety, panic and mood (bipolar) disorders, personality and dissociative disorders, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, problems in concentration and attention, memory loss and cognitive impairment, developmental and learning disorders in childhood and adolescence (particularly, autism and related disorders, as well as conduct and impulse control problems), sleep disorders, sexual dysfunctions, substance abuse, dementia and loss of intellectual functioning in the elderly, as well as other cognitive and emotional disorders. Most important, I treat everyday stress-related issues, commonly referred to as psychosomatic disorders, such as gastrointestinal problems, fatigue, unexplained muscular aches and pains, and lower back discomfort.

I diagnose, assess, and treat attentional disorders including attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity in children, learning disabilities, language disorders, cognitive disorders such as problems in thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving; and autism, asperger's and related developmental disorders, as well as medical conditions such as dementia, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, and stroke that affect higher cognitive functions.
Many of these problems are treatable with various forms of psychotherapy (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychoanalytic therapy), medication, neurocognitive rehabilitation, and other forms of treatment including relaxation techniques such as meditation, therapeutic massage, and yoga; journal writing and art, music, and dance therapies; and nutritional and lifestyle changes. I work with various other professionals (e.g., primary care physicians, psychiatrists, neurologists, nutritionists, acupuncturists) for straightforward and appropriate referral, if necessary.
